Sherrye Henry

As former director of the SBA’s Office of Women’s Business Ownership, Sherrye Henry served the interests of the 9.1 million women-owned businesses in the U.S., manages the Women’s Business Center Program, oversaw a nationwide mentoring program, and was vice-chair of the Interagency Committee on Women’s Business Enterprise. A respected author, speaker and expert on women’s issues, for 15 years she produced the daily Sherrye Henry Program on WBOR Radio in New York. Prior to that, she created and hosed WOMAN! on WCBS-TV; it was the first television program in New York developed primarily for a female audience. Sherrye is the author of two books, including The Deep Divide: Why American Women Resist Equality. A magna cum laude graduate of Vanderbilt, she also holds an MBA from Fordham University.
