After retirement in 2015, he was diagnosed with late stage colon cancer. A year of treatment inspired completion of his book, Out of Air, the first in a trilogy of corporate suspense thrillers that calls attention to lapses of ethics and integrity amongst people, business, and government. Being humbled by the realities of business and human survival, a plan emerged to help reset our ethical compass to serve above self.
