Mark is a global thought leader in the legal industry. He is the CEO of Legal Mosaic, a legal business consultancy; Distinguished Fellow at Northwestern University Law School; regular contributor to Forbes where he has a column on the global legal marketplace; and sought-after international speaker. Mark was recently appointed by the Singapore Academy of Law to serve as its inaugural LIFTED “Catalyst-in-Residence."

His LegalMosaic blog was recently honored by the American Bar Association as one of the 50 outstanding worldwide legal blogs in their inaugural “Web 100.” He has won numerous awards as a legal innovator.

Mark has focused on “the business of law” since the turn of the millennium. He founded Qualitas, an early legal process outsource (LPO) company in 2003, and later co-Founded Clearspire, a revolutionary law firm/legal services company. Clearspire received global attention for its paradigm-shifting structure, economic model, and agile approach to delivering corporate legal services.

Prior to that, Mark was a civil trial lawyer. During his years of practice he was a highly decorated Assistant United States Attorney, BigLaw Partner, founder of a multi-city national litigation boutique, outside General Counsel, and federally appointed Receiver of an international aviation parts company conducting business on four continents. Mark was an early adopter of legal tech as well as fixed-price billing, flex-time, and an agile workforce.
