Dr. Joseph E. Nyre serves as the eighth president of Iona College. Founded by the Irish Christian Brothers, Iona College is a community of learners and scholars dedicated to academic excellence in the tradition of the Christian Brothers and American Catholic higher education. Committed to intellectual inquiry and the values of justice, peace and service, Iona is a midsized Catholic college of approximately 4,250 full- and part-time students known for its liberal arts core curriculum, commitment to service and outstanding business and pre-professional programs.
