Frank Mummolo
Frank J. Mummolo, Ph.D., P.E, is Managing Director of MCA Consulting Services, Inc., a business advisory and skills training enterprise, which he founded in 1999. MCA specializes in helping businesses achieve superior growth and profitability through the systematic application of sound business and leadership principles, as embodied in its unique “Six Cylinders” methodology.
Originally trained as an engineer, Frank moved into new venture and business management shortly after entering the workforce. He has led start-ups and new ventures, engineered turnarounds, bought and sold businesses, headed up and consulted for private and public companies, has been active in various capital markets and with several private equity firms. Frank has had broad and diversified experience across a number of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, chemicals and plastics, automotive, printing, electronics, hi-tech, business services and advertising and promotional fulfillment. Several of the firms he has led have achieved special recognition, among them “New Jersey Employer of the Year”, awarded by the New Jersey Business & Industry Association, selected from among 14,000 member firms.
Frank has served in several Board of Directors capacities and numerous community-service activities .He is an accomplished speaker on the business circuit and lectures on a wide variety of topics of business interest. He is the author of numerous trade journal and business publication articles and is currently working on his first book, 6 Cylinder Success: A Practical Guide to Succeeding in the Real Business World.
Frank is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Polytechnic University of New York, one of the leading academic institutions of engineering excellence in the nation. There he was one of the youngest students to achieve the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Aeronautical Eng.), with a thesis dissertation that achieved worldwide recognition. Since taking over at a local manufacturing company in early 2010, the peak of the recession, Frank grew revenues by 42% organically (72%, including a strategic acquisition made in 2013), while growing organic profits more than 50%, applying the 6 Cylinder Success principles.
